Entirely self-produced, this album highlights the cohesion and vibrancy of the group in a way not captured before. The majority of the recordings for "Rain Check" were made during the weekend of Nashville's "thousand-year flood," which brought tremendous damage to much of the city in May 2010. In a few short hours, the city and surrounding counties were deluged with up to nineteen inches of rain. Rivers crested at never before seen levels; cars, homes, and people were swept away; lives and livelihoods were lost. For that reason, a portion of this physical album's profits will go to organizations and people who, months later, are still working tirelessly to relocate families and rebuild lives.
